Root Canal Treatment

Modern root canal treatment, carried out under an operating microscope, is nothing like its reputation — and at Rycote, we'd like to prove it.

Root Canal Treatment

Precise to a fraction of a millimetre

Root canal treatment (endodontics) is needed when the nerve inside a tooth becomes infected or damaged. Done well, it saves the tooth and eliminates pain. Done under a Zeiss Extaro operating microscope — as all endodontic work at Rycote is — it is done exceptionally well.

The Zeiss Extaro gives us magnification and illumination that makes it possible to locate, clean and seal even the most complex canal anatomy. Work that can't be seen can't be done properly. The microscope removes that limitation entirely.

We also welcome referrals from other dental practices for complex or re-treatment cases. If you've been told a tooth may need to come out, we'd encourage a second opinion — the answer is sometimes very different under a microscope.

Why Rycote

The Zeiss Extaro gives us a view of the canal system that is simply not possible any other way. Every canal cleaned. Every detail seen.

Genuinely gentle

Performed under effective local anaesthetic, modern root canal treatment should be no more uncomfortable than a filling.

Teeth saved, not lost

Keeping your natural tooth is almost always the right outcome — for function, bone health, and your smile.
