Laser Dentistry

The Waterlase laser treats many conditions without a drill, and often without a needle — making dentistry genuinely more comfortable for patients who find conventional treatment difficult.

Laser Dentistry

Often no drill. Often no needle.

The Waterlase by Biolase uses a combination of laser energy and water to remove decay, reshape gum tissue, and perform a range of soft-tissue procedures — often without the drill, and often without a local anaesthetic injection.

For patients who experience significant dental anxiety, or who have a phobia of needles or drills, laser dentistry can change the experience entirely. Procedures that would otherwise require anaesthetic can sometimes be completed in complete comfort without one.

Laser energy also has a natural disinfecting effect — killing bacteria at the treatment site — and can support tissue healing. It's a significant upgrade over conventional methods for the right cases, and we're experienced in knowing when to use it.

Why Rycote

Laser Dentistry, done properly

Drill-free dentistry

Many fillings and cavity preparations can be carried out with the Waterlase, avoiding the vibration and noise of a conventional drill.

Often needle-free

Because there's less trauma to the tissue, many laser procedures can be carried out without a local anaesthetic injection at all.

Healing support

The laser's disinfecting and biostimulative properties can help tissue heal faster and more cleanly than conventional methods.
